The OmniSwitch 6800 switch is an advanced, stackable, fixed configuration, triple-speed (10/100/1000) family of Ethernet switches. It provides wire rate layer-2 forwarding and layer-3 routing with advanced services and 10 GigE support.
The OmniSwitch 6800L is the only product on the market to propose a software upgrade capability from 10/100 Ethernet to 10/100/1000 Ethernet. It fits perfectly environments in which the need for triple speed is not there now but will come in the months to come.
The OmniSwitch 6600 series are advanced 10/100-based stackable layer 3 workgroup switches that provide wire rate L2 switching, L3 routing and advanced services with high availability for IP communications and mission-critical environments. . The OmniSwitch 6600 is available in both regular and POE versions that can be mixed and match in a single stack.
