BTAS acquires Convergency Group - Sep 2007
Sydney 18th October 2007 - BTAS Pty Ltd (www.btas.com.au) today announced that it has acquired the Melbourne based Convergency Group.
Formally trading as Convergency Services Pty Ltd and Business Integration Solutions Australia, the Convergency Group provided integrated voice and data products and services to the corporate market place. They come with an established portfolio of partners including Cisco Systems, Check Point Software Technologies, Microsoft and Nortel.
This latest move by BTAS follows recent acquisitions in Brisbane and Adelaide and will further strengthen BTAS’ leading position as a vendor independent professional services organisation and systems integrator.
“We see BTAS emerging as a knowledge leader within the industry. The acquisition of the Convergency Group is strategic as we inherit a suite of skills and partnerships that further enhance our capacity to design, deliver and support world class solutions. Looking forward, we will continue to grow organically but we would not rule out further acquisitions where it makes sense,” explained the CEO of BTAS, Gavin Jones.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
