
Do Not Call Register Compliance
News - May 2007: The 2007 amendments to the Telecommunications Act introduce a requirement for organisations engaged in telemarketing activities to ensure that Calling Line Identification (CLI) is enabled at the time telemarketing calls are made.
If your company conducts any telemarketing activities then it is likely that this legislative requirement will apply to your organisation.
If you are unsure if your communications equipment is fully compliant with the new legislation, you should contact BTAS to arrange a compliance audit. BTAS will analyse your entire communications network including your carrier connections and provide you with a written report indicating your compliance or otherwise. Should there be areas of non-compliance we can either simply enable the CLI function or, alternately, set out an action plan to ensure full compliance.
